
Aung San Suu Kyi’s younger son Kim Eric, along with some artists and revolutionary forces, are calling for a campaign to collect tens of thousands of birthday wishes for State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s 80th birthday and set a Guinness World Record.
On Aung San Suu Kyi’s 80th birthday, which falls on June 19, they are trying to break the Guinness World Record by collecting more than 80,000 birthday wishes.
Since it is her 80th birthday, fans around the world should send their birthday wishes to the organizations leading the campaign, said a leader of the campaign.
Kim Eric said that since Aung San Suu Kyi has dedicated her entire life to the democracy and human rights of millions of people in Burma who dream of independence, she intends to do more than just a birthday.
As of today, June 12, more than 15,000 birthday wishes have been received on social media platforms hosting the campaign.
Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi has been arrested, charged with treason and sentenced to long prison terms since the 2021 military coup.
